Questions
Is this text to speech tool really free?
Yes. There is no signup, no watermark and no daily limit. The only limit is text length, up to 3000 characters at a time.
Which languages and voices are available?
English only, with American and British voices. The female voices sound more natural than the male ones, and Heart is the best of them. It does not have accents such as Nigerian or South African English.
Can it clone my voice?
No. This tool uses ready-made voices and cannot copy a person's voice.
Why is it slow the first time?
There is a one-time download of about 90 MB, and after that it starts quickly. Long texts can take a few minutes, and phones are slower than computers. Keep the screen on and this page open.
Is my text uploaded?
No. This page does not upload your text. To keep the tool free, the page shows ads from a third-party ad network, which runs its own code and may use cookies.
Can I use the audio in my videos?
Yes. You can use the audio you create in your own videos and projects.
A word is pronounced wrong. What can I do?
Try spelling the word the way it sounds, or add a comma or full stop to change the pacing. Names and unusual words are the most common problems.
Need more than a voiceover?
